Introduction to wind energy

A two-week intensive program will train individuals with first level skills and exposure to the wind industry, with the intention of providing those enrolled with the knowledge and skills to advance their wind related training.

Meetings: Monday – Friday
Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: Two-week Course

  • High School Diploma/Equivalency
  • 18 years of age
  • A Good Work Ethic
  • Some Technical Skills
  • Interest in Renewable Energy
  • Learners may be required to meet SUNY guidelines for COVID-19 surveillance

We offer a variety of programs at our three locations that include the following: Allied Health Education, Business Careers and Technology, Adult Basic Education, College Preparation, High School Equivalency (HSE), English for International Students, and creative design opportunities through our Entrepreneur Technology Center’s Visual Technology Program. In addition, we offer over 32 occupational, academic, and self-development courses at our ATTAIN labs located in Brentwood and Hempstead.

Certified Nursing Assistant

This program prepares the student as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Through classroom studies, lab, and clinical practice, the student will be prepared to assist the nurse in providing care for the resident/patient.

Security Guard plus CPR/AID Certification

This program provides students with instruction leading to the NYS requirements for a Security Guard License.

Administrative Assistant

This program is designed to train students for specific office occupations. You will learn Keyboarding, Introduction to Computers and Office 2010: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
